My love for health and fitness started at a very young age. Raised by a former athlete, champion boxer, and celebrity chef, my father introduced me to sports. I grew up a “tom boy” wanting to become an athlete just like him.
I joined the track team and was pleasantly surprised that I had wheels for feet racing by girls older than me. I loved the game of basketball. As a high school freshman when tryouts came I was recruited to start with the varsity girls basketball team. I was forced to level up and prove myself on and off the court. I was playing with girls who had more experience than me however, not as much heart. I was disciplined. I was motivated. I was last person to leave the gym. I wanted to be the best. I had goals and I was hungry. At one point I wanted to enter the WNBA!! As you’re reading this you now you know I didn’t make it, but my love for sport and fitness never changed! As a matter of fact it grew into something beautiful The Fat Funeral I moved from Maine to Miami with a plan. I rewrote that plan a hundred times before I was confident enough to share it. Then the dream became a plan, the plan turned into action, and action rewarded results.
